In 'The Count & The Pauper' (besides being an obvious reference to 'The Prince and the Pauper') a bit-part by Jack May as a peasant is called 'Walter'. This could be a reference to Jack's Walter Gabriel character on radio series 'The Archers' (anyone got any copies for me to hear?)
Also 'I Ain't Gonna Work on Maggot's Farm No More', is I understand a reference to a Bob Dylan song, I think.

Towards the end of Dr Goosewing and Mr Duck, where the "Intelligent Nanny" discusses with Igor about different subjects, Nanny speaks in German, quoting "Ein unnutz Leben ist ein fruher Tod." which translates to "A wasted life is an early death."
The quote is referenced from Johann Wolfgang von Goethe's drama "Iphigenia in Tauris"
