I thought it is better to start a new thread about the italian version of Duckula: the title is "Conte Dacula" - it sounds near the same as in English.
All the info are from my personal memories and from italian sites about cartoons.
Duckula arrived here in 1990, among tons of japanese anime; we have never seen Dangermouse!
The cartoon was broadcast an other time in 1993, with a new episode every day, and then no more times. The last episode transmited was "The rest is history", so we did not see all the series.
Here in Italy there is a narrow group of actors that dub all the cartoons, so it is easy to find the same voice for really different characters; for istance, Duckula was dubbed by Pietro Ubaldi, whose voice is very familiar for us: he dubbed, among the others, Artemis (the white cat) in Sailor Moon and even David the gnome! I could compare him with David Jason only when I bought the English dvd, and in my opinion he did a good job.
Then, the others: Igor-Sante Calogero, Van Goosewing-Antonio Paiola, Nanny-Antonello Governale. The latter recently became famous because of a funny commercial: it is nice that in every interview he remembers how much fun he had dubbing Count's Duckula Nanny
I found my old VHS of the movie with Bela Lugosi: it came out in 1993, and was part of a series of old horror movies for DeAgostini editor. For reasons of copyright, the movie was redubbed by a society called PrimaImmagine with the voices of Pietro Ubaldi-Dracula and Antonio Paiola-Van Goosewing.
So there are also other versions with other voices; I do not know the dvd: I have to control...
Hope that helps!!!
