Oh yes, ladies. You know what I'm talking about. That everlasting moment, the single instance in time where you knew you couldn't turn back - That second in eternity when you realized that you loved your favorite character more than anyone in the series 83 Be it anyone from Duckula himself to Gaston, we all have that special moment where it hit us in the face like a brick "WOW. ____ rocks my socks so hard I can't not love him!" Let us elaborate on that here -- Me first? Alright xD Obviously, as you all surely know by now, my fangirl love is beyond a shadow of a doubt, Igor. What can I say, he just does it for me x3 I actually have a handful of those 'special moments' and indeed they were all spectacular in their own right. But I'll elaborate on a couple of my most hard hitting and favorite ones. "Open to the Public" I get to show off how much of a sadist I am Seriously, at the end when Igor opened the door to the 'Ancient Gymnasium and Sauna' and let loose with that absolutely delicious hellish dark chuckle. Oh man. That's one of the earliest times when I felt like my insides were coming alive. If I had rather fancied him before then, good Lord it was full on love at that moment. The entire time he had been secreting them all away to the torture chamber, very sneaky, sly, and most definitely nefarious I also love his little 'explanations' for what he does. Oh Igor, you play a fool sometimes, but we ALL know who really runs Castle Duckula > "The Rest is History" And onto my second moment, perhaps the most gripping one of all for me. I KNEW there was no turning back at this point xD I had had the nagging suspicion that Igor played a much larger part in this whole business, but I could never have guessed on what scale it was. I couldn't help but just be completely dwarfed by the fact that everything that had transpired - Von Goosewing's obsession, Duckula himself, indeed pretty much everyone's existence at that point - was all because of Igor. It hit me like a friggin TRUCK. I couldn't have loved him more - He's so dark, sinister.... A man truly after my own heart 83 I also love his complete lack of remorse - He knows exactly who and what he is, and takes this beautiful dark pleasure in it. How could I NOT love him? Ahem! xD But yes. Anyone else care to have a go?

Great topic Juno!
My very first moment were on 'The Invisibility Ray', saw Goosewing, heart bumped with joy, it was like Dr. Van Helsing but with more personality and also a mad scientist too! VG was so dedicated to fulfill his duty, I was impressed. Also it caught my attention the fact that he was presented as antagonist, but...
... Then it came, in 'Vampire Vacation' , the scene in which VG thought someone was suffering at Castle Duckula (it was actually Igor being hugged by Nanny XD), and he went to help... After I saw that, there were no way back for me! This character is very "human" to me, and I could not help but empathize with him.
There is no need to say that I love all and each scene with Goosewing in!!!
Von Gosling, he has moved me since the first time a saw him on the intro. My brain exploded with joy the first time I watched 'Dear Diary', similar to 'The Rest is History', this episode is highly interesting, so there is why VG is now what he is, and also love the fact how Count Duckula leaves you thinking, pondering how much deep the events on the series are!!!
Juno, I agree with what you said about Igor, so true, so true... ... Mr. Igor really is a complex character.

Girls, girls, girls could you have thought of a better thread? I would have to say in Vampire Vacation when Duckula states he isn't afraid of his cousin or the crazy bull (even though he faints soon after) and Don Diego just smiles at him with those wicked red eyes, oh my goodness me! I just thought "I so love these pair" ;D And in One Stormy Night when Duckula is hiding under the covers and yelling for Nanny, I just wanted to bundle him up in my arms and say "don't you be scared my little duck, I'll protect you from you're evil stone ancestor!" (Punch that statue's beak off, then he won't be quite so evil, he he!) Igor in the episode where Duckula is in love with that princess, and Igor says "I must do something... the young master is not feeling well.... nothing that a little cuddle wouldn't put right Nanny...that's the ticket" You just have to love him in that moment!

Actually, I don't think I had any one moment while watching the show when I realized I loved Duckula. It was more in the interim between episodes, and I'd find myself thinking about how much I was growing to love the show, and how much I loved the Duckula character itself. Although, it might have been in "Prime Time Duck" when Nanny comes through the door and crushes him, and after he asks why she couldn't have used the wall like usual, and she asks what she would do THAT for, he says something like, "Yes, of course! Silly me; silly, silly me." His sarcasm through out the series slays me. I also liked the fact that he wasn't oblivious to the way Igor was, where I feel a LOT of shows would have made a character like me be. He knew quite well Igor's ways, and just did his best to ignore it, or thwart it when possible. I liked that he wasn't completely stupid. Another moment for me, though it came well after I knew he was my favorite, is at the end of A Fright at the Opera, when he comforts Nanny when Phantom and Cruel don't like her singing. I thought it was so sweet and human of him.

I think for me, the love for the show as a whole came when I got the entire Danger Mouse box-set for my 17th birthday and as a bonus material treat, 'No Sax Please We're Egyptian' was on it. I watched it and was immediately smitten; I was desperate to get the episodes on DVD but didn't for nearly a year.

I was watching the video of "Dr. Goosewing and Mr. Duck" and was reminded of what a sharp sense of humor the Count has. Speaking to Igor in the fridge: "If you're going to suggest I pour blood on my porridge, I'll be forced to ask you to leave the room."
To Nanny, when he's about to eat the muesli: "Thank you, Nanny, I didn't think I was meant to suck it through a straw."
Gotta love that sense of sarcasm.

I have several characters on this show I adore!
And my infatuation with all of them was officially set way back when I very first received/watched my Season 1 set! I get hooked quickly, lol!
Lessee...
Duckula- the scene that did it for me was in 'Hardluck Hotel':
"Hey, Chef!" "Whut you want?" "Lady in the Quatermass Suite wants a mug of cocoa." "Forget it!" "Forget it? Why?" "I'm off-duty, as from now." "What about the washer-up?" "He's off-duty, too." "Well, I guess that makes three of us. So, this is goodnight. "Goodnight." "Goodnight." ~Grrrr~ "Did you, uh, hear something?" "Like what?" ~Grrr~ "Like that." "Oh, that all right; it's good old Grinder." "Right, Chef; one cocoa for the lady in the Quatermass Suite! It'll be a pleasure!"
Later...
"But she can't go to sleep without her mug of cocoa, you know, Chef? "So, I heard."
The timing and delivery throughout that whole sequence was just PERFECT. To this day, it remains of one of my fave scenes. So perfectly silly and cartoony, while allowing one to feel bad for the poor overworked duck trying to keep up with all his duties, and struggling to make the best out of his predicament, esp. under such a hostile environment. The range of emotions covered throughout was especially great, and spoke volumes about what he was going through (see above).
Gaston and Peirre- 'Hunchbudgie of Notre Dame':
Gaston: *After realizing Peirre's goof* Yes... amazing, isn't it? Peirre... a word with you, if you please. You solded the Eiffel Tower for a thousand francs??" "Yes..." "IT'S WORTH A MILLION-TIMES THAT!" "Oh, that is a lot." "YES, Peirre, that is a LOT. And you are going to get a LOT of heavy blows to the head! Take that, and..."
The voice-acting, the facial expressions, the body-language... all was perfectly timed and delivered! That whole bit spoke volumes about their awkward relationship, and officially got me hooked on them.
Don Diego- him and Duckula's dialogue in 'Vampre Vacation', which really expressed what a fun-loving psychopath he really is! He talks about his evil deeds with such pride, glee, and excitement- and even perfect innocence! Like a little kid who loves to torture and kill insects- it's just his idea of a good time, and he sees no harm in doing what he does best.
