Alright. This is a silyl silly idea, but it struck me as fun In explanation of what ahead: Last night I was underneath my computer desk and when I was coming back up, I hit my head really hard on the corner of it (It actually still throbs today) The first thought that came to mind: HOLY BEJEEZUS IT FEELS LIKE I WAS HIT BY NANNY (then the usual AKJALHKASDGAK!!!PAAAAIIIINNN!!) Which of course led me to recall Igor's Busy Day and The Ghost of McCastle McDuckula. Episodes in which Igor suffers greatly at the hands of that madwoman. But it struck me - Why does Igor put up with it? I swear it's like he's got some battered wife syndrome going on (i.e. McDuckula episode 'No no, please don't let her hurt me!') I figure if he can control the Castle of the Duckulas, surely he can deal with on woman, right? Until I remembered that Nanny took out a friggin dinosaur with one arm. THE ONE IN THE SLING. So what does this culminate in? Nanny vs (insert monster or other rediculously strong being) We'll assume said being would be threatening her Duckyboos, for added measure. So there we have it. Another one of my lovely crackpot ideas In a fight, who would win? Nanny vs GodzillaNanny. Singlehandedly probably. She'd be all bothered that the great ugly thing was being rude to all them people in the city How dare he, scaring those poor Asians, lol But really. One good whack and the poor beast would probably wish he'd never been born. -- This is incredibly dorky - I know xD But hey, my random inspiration has to go somewhere lol -J

Haha, Igor really is like the battered wife isn't he? Surprised there were never any episodes of him in a full body cast with as much abuse as he's received. He should probably invest in a crash helmet or something from now on. Also, I love your godzilla idea. I could totally see this <3 i666.photobucket.com/albums/vv29/raineart/godzirra.jpg

That is so freaking perfect xD Seriously, I could hear Nanny's voice and everything xD I can't stop laughing at Godzilla xD
And thank you xD I feel so incredibly dorky when it comes to Duckula 8D Even Baphmet has been calling it a full on fetish for me xD
This totally reminds me of how I am with my nephew. Baphmet heard me with him while we were on the phone earlier, and I did in fact threaten to smack that boys legs 8D I'll teach that young lad to respect his elders!
Oh yeah, and another Igor inspired moment from yesterday - My darling... sweet sweet nephew kicked me in the face D: I swear he nearly broke my nose, as I had to crack the damn thing back into feeling normal. AAARGH that huuuuuurt. It very much reminded me of when Nanny just decked him, instead of hitting the statue in his Busy Day episode. It hurt so bad I couldn't even cry or anything, I was just dazed xD
Of course, very quickly afterwards, I did indeed also threat to staple his ears to his kneecaps. He just laughed at me (I feel as though I understand Igor even more now D: )

I can so imagine Nanny confronting any beast that terrorizes any city with a threat that she'll smack their legs; and send them up to their room with no supper. After the monster stares at her in confusion, she will beat the stuffings out of it. Boo yeah!
I am also quite curious why Igor would even tolerate Nanny for all those centuries. In fact, I found it interesting that he has so much patience and what-not explaining things to her. He usually gets annoyed with those characters, yet doesn't act like that with her.

I thinks that Nanny's force haven't a limit, she would give a beating to any monster, beast, people, and any thing that can hurt her Duckyboos.

mmm, I think that in a principle, Igor tried to kill the Nanny, failing in all occasions. He got tired and understood that they need somebody as Nanny, strong and without intelligence.
The Pictures, Nanny vs Godzilla is very funny! ;D

I like to think Nanny is one of Igorth's creations, and like you said girls, he could have find Nanny's supernatural strength very useful for his purposes.
Raine: LOL, lovely Nanny VS Godzilla! ;D

I'm not usually one to admit to this sort of thing, but I do think Igor has some sort of feelings for Nanny. Even if it's just as simple as he doesn't outright want her dead. He certainly grows aggravated with her, and has hinted at her untimely demise many many times... But I think that they've become attached over the centuries (I mean... think of all the time they spent in the Castle just the two of them. I don't imagine you can't not develop at least some modicum of rapport when you take your afternoon tea with them every day) On the other end of the spectrum he really is rather cruel to her (seriously, some of the things he and Duckula say about and to her! It rather makes me want to go Nanny on them myself, it just isn't very nice at all, really) There again, say in the Dear Diary ep, Igor was visibly bothered at Duckula for insulting her. Maybe he's just capable of being somewhat two-faced like that I know at heart he's very self centered (Igor's Priorities - Numero Uno, for sure) Not to say he can't dole out concern for others (Particularly if they bear any semblance to the name Duckula) Again, Duckula ends up with me more confused than ever. Which is what I love Nothing is ever really simple <3

I totally agree about Igor having some sort of fondness for Nanny. Not speaking about romantic feelings at all.
I think Igor does respect Nanny for being a great Mother Figure and for having a good-natured heart (Igor: Ugh, what are you speaking about, ma'am?). She also always stands up for the two men in her life too. I have a funny feeling Nanny sees Igor as her husband, and Duckyboos her son.
It could also be the fact that they were the Count's servants for all these centuries, and shared a common bond because of that. I mean, whenever Igor wants to strike (or something similar), he always brings Nanny into the equation.
Or, maybe Igor doesn't like being lonely during the times when the previous Master passed away; and he has to wait for when it's the perfect time to resurrect the count. Not as if he'll admit it, though.
I am also quite bothered how cruel Duckula and Igor are with poor Nanny. But, at least they do show concern when they thought her life's in danger.
I also found it very cute in Translyvanian Homesick Blues(correct me if I'm wrong, please), when Nanny tried to explain why she can't marry Dr. Tyme. She was explaining that she can't leave her Duckyboos. She was pointing out all the good things about him. Then Igor moaned that Nanny didn't mention anything good about him. Then Nanny quickly said that she still likes him though. Aww...
For a cartoon that's supposed to be for children, Count Duckula sure is a complex one...

LOL Igor and Nanny. I suspect he probably has tried to get rid of her, several times, back around the time the first Count Duckula was bit. I just don't think it worked. But yeah, I do think Igor has grown to care about Nanny over the years, in spite of himself.

Oh God, I'm sorry to hear about your nose. Ouch! D: I like how you threatened to staple his ears to his kneecaps though. Such a sweet aunt! ;D I also really got a kick out of your nephew's Naruto comparison. That's just so funny & cute. Even though it leaves me a horrible mental image of Naruto-Duckula now XD Oh well.
Also, I totally agree with both you & Steffie here on Igor's feelings for Nanny. In my own thoughts I could never see the two of them in anything romantic or involved but yes, I definitely think he cares for her .. at least to some degree. If anything, I always imagined Igor as having a kind of mild husband-ish complex. Sort've like the kind of thing you see in sour marriages where at first the man is all shades of happy to get rid of the old battleaxe but then, because of having been together so long, they become sad & lonely.
Anyway, I guess I always saw Igor as fitting into something like this. I think at first he'd be extremely happy not to have her & all her dysfunction around but after a while, when she's not there to listen to him vent, or help with the master, or sit on the other side of the table with him, he'd probably start to feel pretty sad. Though I can't ever imagine him admitting to it of course! Also, an interesting thought. If Nanny was gone, how much harder do you think Igor & the Count would get into it? I personally think Nanny's the only thing keeping them out of each other's faces most of the time. Not that I think Igor or the Count would ever wind up in any kind of full on altercation.. (although that might be kind of hilarious) just I could fully imagine Igor pressuring Duckula that much harder without her around.

You have summed that up so well, Raine! It really does fit Igor perfectly. He and Nanny are such parents anyways xD Duly noted, as well, that Nanny really is the bridge keeping Igor from riding Duckula about the 'real vampire' thing ALL the time. I mean, he already has slipped him blood unawares, It's probably be a more regular thing if Nanny were out of the picture. Though that randomly reminded me of that time in the comics, when Duckula was fake acting being a real vampire, and Igor made up that huge feast for him, and he totally referred to Nanny as 'the help' xDDD Kind of the pot calling the kettle black, lol And yeah, thank you for about my nose xD My damn nephew is a bit old to be going round kicking people in the face though (Little brat'll be 10 this September) He did apologize quite profusely the next day though, and gave me a hug to make me feel better =) I'm sure whacking the hell out of his legs had nothing to do with that either *twiddles thumbs and whistles nonchalantly*
