So Today I have reached 666 deviations on DeviantART, and I couldn't pass this glorious opportunity up Far be it from the best, but I am rather pleased with it And sorry to be riddling the place with so much crap art lately =o This Duckula kick has been rather... productive! To ah... add a bit of relief from my previous drawing Hooray cuteness! -J

I've already told you on DA about how much I really like the first one. ;D Are you doing these on marker paper BTW? Just being curious, because I often use my markers on textured paper and well, it picks up the textures like watercolours and pencils do.
The flat colours look so neat here, especially in that second one.

Yeah, this must be kinda repetitive xD My apologies, but I'm doubting everyone on here is a member of dA, and I figure they might like to see too, lol
These particular ones have been done on Canson Sketchbook paper. I usually use plain old computer paper, but I wanted something with a tiny bit more texture and that was much thicker (aka my markers don't bleed through like, ten sheets) I love my sketchbook, and find that I rather fancy certain types of Sketch paper. I want to try out something really textured, like say Watercolor paper, but the last time I did my marker colors turned out funky D:
I used this one paper once back in high school, it was just called Marker Paper; it was interesting, Prismas went on it in a watery paint sort of way - the paper was really slick. Excellent blending, but hard to use.
But yeah, thank you so much again 8D I love flat coloring - very conducive to looking neat and my being very lazy :D Though these two - GAH. Each of them too up an entire page out of the sketchbooks, thought my hand was gonna fall off D8
*edit* And yeah, I have like, no idea what part of the castle they're in xD A very pink-girly-ish area, I suppose, lol. I wanted to kinda contrast from the previous picture - so everything came out.... pink.... 8D

LOL! The first one is hilarious. XD Love it. I'm in the process of changing DA accounts, but once I'm set up I'm definitely going to be adding you to my watch. I also love the portrait in the background of the second pic. How did they manage to sit still in that pose long enough for it to be painted? I'm still impressed that you're doing this with just Prismacolors... Makes me want to take mine out and experiment. Thanks for stating what kind of paper you're doing too, because I like the texture it adds.

It's not much more costly than papers I usually buy [in the UK we usually just have Daler-Rowney and Windsor & Newton] and it doesn't bleed, but man that stuff is so thin and flimsy at times. I never found a place here where they sell Prismacolor things though so I never tried them.

I would love to use Copics, as I've tried them and they were absolutely fabulous. Buuut... wow, they are REALLY very expensive xD Over the years I have accumulated a fairly sizable collection of Prismacolors, and I have over a hundred now. The best boost came as the last Christmas present my father ever bought me, a 72 set. It's awesome x3
I also like just about any paper made by Bristol, but it's on the pricey side too so I don't get it too often (lol, if you haven't figured out I'm dirt poor and a tight wad anyways xD)

I have to say that last picture is beyond cute! Even Igor looks (ever so slightly) happy! I agree with you on how expensive copics are... . Are prismacolours like them then? I'm looking for something similar but not as expensive I will have to have a look right now!

Yeppers. I do love me some Prismacolors - way cheaper, and really it's all in the talent. I've seen people pull off brilliantly epic things with both brands. I will always remain partial to Prisma's cause... cause well I'm really cheap xD
I also like Prisma colored pencils. They're very waxy and kinda crayon like. Using both of them = epic awesome. It's a shame I usually never think to use them though xD Oh well. I've been doing more digital lately anyways, and photoshop neeeveer runs out of colors 8DDD

I can't believe I didn't comment on this yet.
I simply love your use of Prisma markers here (like all your other works, BTW); and how 666 was revelant to Igor's ritual. Duckula doesn't look all too happy there XD
The picture with Igor reading a bedtime story to Nanny and Duckyboos is so sweet and peaceful. I simply love the painting there as well.
