On almost every web forum there is forum selection or post where new user has to introduce themselves. So I guess I have to come in and bite your neck and suck your Blood. I guess the Duckula must be the evil monster it is meant to be. Since I have dried every blood drop from your vein's. If you don't whant me to come in I will have to ask Nanny to make the way for me.
It is time to introduce myself, I come from Iceland. So you might ask what has Count Duckula to do with Iceland, it has little in common, the only connection is that the show was re-dubbed in Icelandic shortly after it was originally aired in UK and put on the air by Icelandic channel called Stod 2 and has been re-re-aired several times. The Icelandic re-dub was known in Iceland as Brakúla Greifi (my names comes from the Icelandic name) have several flaws usually with jokes since the action doesn't alway match the actions and and jokes usually falls flat on there face since the traslation might not have done proberly or jokes have no connection with Iceland at al so I can't say I miss the Icelandic dub, when I came cross the complete 7 disc set (it has been mentioned on this forum), witch I now own I have one thing to say it is fantstic so I will never watch it again with Icelandic dub.
Duckula was one of the first regular animated TV show I started to watch on regular bases when I was a very young man along with the America golden era cartoons that was aired on TV along with Duck Tales (That evil money sucking Scrooge McDuck) and other American, British and cartoons from rest of the world. I have always found the American cartoon to be the most funniest with the sole expection of Count Duckula and probably some other none-American one I don't remember the name.
Since then have my interest for animated cartoons grown through years and now I'm an advanced collector of American golden age cartoons and it is the main interest when it its comes to animation. I own several DVDs collection with cartoons from the era, I do hope I can expand my collection and include more production than it's holds now and I do what the cartoons to be in its most complete original form restored with it original opening and closing title cards. Those cartoons were usually released theatrically in USA so majority of my collection are 90% theatrical shorts. Theatrical features, TV series, Direct-to Video stuff makes the other 10%.
All titles in my collection are produced in America expect Count Duckula since I have almost zero interest in animation outside USA, but since Duckula is a such a great show It is nice to make an such a nice expection include the show in my DVD collection, but the future will only tell if I will ever include modern American Cartoons, or more British, Canadian, Australian or none-English language cartoons in my DVD collection, but I don't expect it.
I hope I have executed my evil plain properly I hope I have bored you to death by reading this. I have to tell Igor to order since it is now my new home.
Sorry for gramar and spell error it is hard to write long clever post when it it is not my first langue.
