These are awesome comics. You really captured the mood for the fan-fic.
I love that little comic of Igor and Duckyboos. He really was miffed at Igor spoilt his broccoli sandwich, huh?

Aww, thank you so much Steffie! I'm so happy you think they work for the tone of the story. That's so encouraging for me to know. Thank you so much! Also, yeah Duckula's pretty fed up over his sandwich. I like to imagine him finding an -entire- ham in it probably just shot his last nerve for the day XD

I love Duckula's expression in the middle panel there!
And I like the tone of the art in the dark ones! Really awesome - sets the mood and makes it scary!

Funny stuff! You could even add speech (IF you wanted) - something along the lines of Duckula reprimanding Igor for losing his subtlety.

Raine: ... I have tears of joy in my eyes! ... I feel so honoured! Thank you so much, Raine! ;D I'm so ashamed I was unable to tell you earlier, because I rushed to workplace! Tell me which words, even if I were good at poetry, would be enough to express my gratitude? This is my story, I'm seeing it not in my mind but in your wonderful artwork, just the way I had imagined the scenes... You have totally captured the essence of the story! ;D And my joy is double, because you said that doing this is helping with your own story too! What else I could ask for, Raine? Oh, I have an idea! Please, it would be great is you are able to do more some time! LOL The comic strip is very funny! I love the first part, Igor's expression is priceless! Once more, I want to say thank you for all, my dear Raine! *Cheers for Raine!* ;D

BC - Aww, thank you so much! I'm so happy you think they have a scary overtone to them. That's exactly what i was hoping for! Gaston - Thanks so much! And yeah I originally didn't write anything in just because I couldn't think of anything that I thought would be funny enough. I love your idea though! Remarking on Igor's lack of subtlety would definitely yield some funny dialogue Lourdes - Awwwww, I don't know what to say! I'm so flattered! <3 <3 I'm so so happy you like these so much & that you think they're reflective of your story. I'm thrilled! And what can I say? Your stories are just inspiring! I've always loved the dark tone you try to give them so much. It's part of what made these so fun to do. Trust me, they were a joy for me to work on! ;D Plus like I said, they really do help me with my own comic being able to practice from a already written story like this. I really can't wait to do more of these sometime. I have about a ton of ideas already in mind! Again, I'm so so so happy you liked these so much Lourdes! It made me really happy to do them for you! *dances* Also - a couple new ones! www.lionking.org/~kubo/Duckula/Rainefall-duckulacomic4.jpgwww.lionking.org/~kubo/Duckula/Rainefall-duckulacomic5.jpg

;D Thank you very much for your kind words, Raine! It means a lot to know my ideas are inspiring for you *hugs* Thank you very, very much!
Oh, the last two pages you did are just awesome! Especially the comic 5, I love the design of the village's chapel and the giant bat as seen through the tavern's window! And the atmosphere of the comic is, is so dark and beautiful... ;D
... I'm so happy and grateful with you Raine... Please do more! ... *Sighs and faints*

I'm so sorry to all about bringing up a long dead thread but I have to say that I am positively in love with your bit of cartooning, Raine. The facial expressions are spot on. I aspire to that sort of expressiveness; truly you have a wonderful gift.
I don't want to lay it on thick here but (if it isn't already obvious) I am blown away by your work. So loose and so alive! It is truly a sign of greatness that one can produce their message/intent with the least amount of lines/work possible. Am I biased towards minimalism/cartooning and plain old animation? Of course I am! That's why I'm biting at the bit here over your work.
I have no idea what sort of note to end this post on other than to say I am truly inspired.
