This is probably slightly biased of me, but DM is after all the foundation for Count Duckula, isn't it? Also, the DM fansite I used to frequent, Club DM, has been shut down and reopened by my old mate Aquila several times because interest in the fandom seems to have dwindled. I still watch it and enjoy it, though.
So, favourite episodes...
Mine are, in no particular order:
*The Statue of Liberty Caper: Great animation and Penfold's aunt kicks bottom! Gotta love the argument at the end.
*Rhyme and Punishment: Again, great animation and the Mysterious Tapping Noise scene just cracks me up.
*Play it Again Wufgang: I used to imitate Penfold's dancing in this episode - I think this is the one time he takes his jacket off.
*Once Upon a Timeslip: This was one of those episodes I longed to see again but then the Boomerang channel wouldn't show it. Love the shadows in the chamber inside the castle where Colonel/Sir K is being held.
*All Fall Down: I have a special place for this one in my heart because it was only one of two episodes (the other being Turn of the Tide) that I had on VHS for years. I can't remember when it started but I think I was watching it from the age of five or six. Anyway, it got me into the show and I've been into it ever since!
*Duckula meets Frankenstoat: Gotta love Ducky in this episode. Plus, DM is all, "You can't mess with me" because he stands up to Duckula several times.
*The Good, the Bad and the Motionless: This was the episode that kept me calm during my A-Levels. I just love the personal and metaphorical element to this episode; the fact that DM is left alone to deal with his evil side. He even admits to missing Penfold's company. Also, it's great to see what his evil side would look like and sound like.
So, what do the rest of you DM fanatics think?
