...That V&H have never been fully released onto DVD? It's practically the only CH show that has never gotten the box-set treatment! And FremantleMedia owns the rights to it like with several others, and yet they seemingly REFUSE to touch this one. I can't understand it. The number of times I've emailed them, only to be ignored totally... I know it's one of the studios most unknown and forgotten series, probably due to it ever only being broadcast on television once (and only in the UK and Australia), but still! It's a FACT that many people remember this one, and want it on DVD!
This is why it infuriates me when I'm in HMV, and I see some horribly obscure cartoon series on DVD.

If Victor and Hugo were to be on DVD I'd definitely buy it. Even some of the lesser known Cosgrove Hall toons like Fantomcat have at least a few episodes on cheap DVDs.
I know of a good number of my childhood favourite toons that might not ever get to be on DVD, like the Animals of Farthing Wood. It was really popular in its heyday despite it having some really grim scenes even for the pre-school slot on CBBC. Also, I haven't at all heard of when we'll get the next set of Ducktales released here, and again I don't think the original TMNT may be released here what with name changes, edits etc.
I should imagine that popular demand may be the trick some day though, take a look at SatAM; there's just been a release of the entire series of the Mysterious Cities of Gold, and I've heard that Inspector Gadget may be coming as a full set soon.
Once in a while I check through all of the coming soon section at Play.com, and if I see anything about V+H there I'll post it.

Hello
Yes, I am also very angry V & H isn't on DVD yet.
It's one thing if FreMantle, or any other company, didn't have any rights to this series, but FreMantle has the rights to it. Why are they avoiding it like it's the plague?
I've also signed the petition. Let's hope FreMantle would listen to the fans of Victor & Hugo and make our dream come true *crosses fingers*.

It's so strange they've never touched V&H when it comes to box sets. I am more confused than anything else.

For the longest time, despite the wishes of fans, DiC would not the original Sonic the Hedgehog cartoon as well... until last summer. So, you never know.
Just keep emailing them, and bugging their butts. Heck, people should sign that peition at least once a week, even if under a different name! *Hint, hint*
By the way, anybody else think that Victor is hot? ;D

It's incredible that 'Bucky O'Hare' which only lasted thirteen episodes and broadcast only once, when my bros and I were all little has been released out on DVD but Vh&H hasn't. It's an outrage, I say!

Yeah, I got Bucky on DVD for my 18th - I discovered it properly during my A-Levels. Quite a good show, I enjoy it. But really, if this can be released, then I say V&H should be released too.

There's 102 signatures as of now. It's not bad, but it's far from great.

Ah, man, I've emailed Fremantle more times than I can remember, brought the subject of the online petition up, and still they refuse!! I think they're just keeping the series to themselves, coz it's so funny But still, it's unjust!! I really don't understand it. They're losing their reputation by being so unco-operative. *growls* Still, there are a few episodes floating around on the web; especially on youtube...
