Anyone tried this site? It's like MySpace but has rather bigger storage space. Here's my bit for what it's worth. amorrice80.bebo.com

I...actually do have a Bebo account, but I don't use it. Personally I don't really like sites like Myspace and that... I prefer to use blogs, Deviantart, Livejournal, Photobucket etc and/or my own webspace to put all my stuff on. Nice stuff though - is that lizard really your pet? staceyw-arts.blogspot.com/ Here's my personal/art blog. The DA journals and livejournal are often used for sillier/quiz posts while the blog is like all my life stories and that. Oh, and here's my livejournal - robocoddess.livejournal.com/

The little one yes, not the one with the dagger and black robe on (that's me!). Her name's Vicki and she's a Berber Skink. She lives under my vast shelves of cartoon DVDs and tapes.

I think she's cute :3 Sigh, I'd love to have a rat again, but I probably won't be able to have one for a good number of reasons [not enough room for cage, the dog, getting small bumpy rashes caused by their claws]. It's a shame really, because rats are such beautiful and clever little animals.

Thanks for sharing, Andrew. I so know what you mean about being a more quiet type- I'm very much like that myself, to the point where I tend to ostrichize myself from society. I just can't stand being around other people. It takes a lot for me to open up, but I do eventually once I get to know somebody better... or if I'm in a particularly good mood, which is rare.

I work with animals and it hacks me off when all these snobby middle-class mothers say how much they dislike rats. For no good reason.

I used to have one but yeah I got bored of it. I like the drawing board feature though.

I work with animals and it hacks me off when all these snobby middle-class mothers say how much they dislike rats. For no good reason. My nan is absolutely terrified of rodents, especially rats. She doesn't even like artistic depictions of them, be it in drawings or even thimbles! [she likes to think it's a rabbit]. I can remember one time when she came round my old house and I brought my old hamster and she was like "get it away!"

It bugs me how folk think that if it's cute and furry (unless it's a rat) then it's easy to look after and suitable for a toddler who can't even walk properly. If it's scaly and 'ugly' (ie. lizards) then it's awful and horrible.

I cannot understand people who look after their guinea pig (hope the translation is right!) as a baby, and at the same time are scared by rats: they are both rodents, what is the difference?

"Oooooh! It's their tails!!!!! And they're all white with red eyes!!!" Which is of course nonsense.

Actually, I think it's because rats have a bad rep. for spreading disease, sickness, and death. Plus, people look at their long, "ugly" snouts, beady black eyes, and sharp teeth, and are instantly creeped out. I personally am ok with rats, but obviously I wouldn't pick one up on the street.

A lot of people forget that rabbits may be cute and cuddly to them, but in the wild they are pests too! Rats are cute anyway (IHMO)

I wouldn't really touch a street rat either [though I barely see any. Where I live there's loads of squirrels instead along with the odd fox], in fact I always want to wash my hands everytime I touch an animal, whether they're pets or not.
But I still think rats are beautiful. Maybe I should make a new thread all about our pets...
