So yeah, for the past week I had my Internet cut off because the modem's plug snapped in half, so at few times I had to use McDonalds computers [which are so horrible and I hope to never use ever again!] to get internet access. I was in such a rush yesterday I feared I did everything wrong! Thankfully now I've got it all fixed - we had a guy at Virgin media come in to install a new box and he just so happened to have a replacement plug for my modem! Man it feels so good to get back online on a REAL computer again! Loads of things to catch up on now...

Awesome! Missed ya! That's kinda cool that you guys have computers at McDonalds. Whenever my Internet's out, I usually use the computers at the library. Unfortunately, there's no c/p function on them either. Is there a time limit on those computers? For the ones at our library, we get an hour. And do you have to wait forever to get online? Sometimes, during the summer, this is the case for me.

We've had computers in McD's for a short while, but they're absolutely horrible - metal keyboards, a touch screen that you literally have to poke in order to get it to scroll, and well, you get the idea. You have to buy a ticket for either half an hour [£1] or an hour [£2] and input a code to start it. I'm so glad that I'm on my home computer now, even though at times because of its RAM it can as slow as dial-up. As for the library, well I used to use my sister's card two years ago before I had broadband, and they used to let you on for an hour. The very last time I used one though, it only let me on for just 10 minutes! That's barely enough time to do anything, what with these computers being slow and as old as time an' all

Ah, I remember seeing those at McD (maybe at Oxford Street? can't remember exactly, there was a big book store next to it...) when I was in London two and a half years ago. They have these nice "Quorn" veggie burgers which were quite good, actually. Unfortunately, this Quorn stuff (made of some kind of mould) apparently doesn't comply with our food laws in some way and may not be sold in Germany...

Do you have computers at McDonalds? Here there are no computers at the library or McD. We have to go to the "cybercafé" for computers with internet.

Heh, I practically live on some quorn products, but personally I didn't really like that McDonalds one. Just tasted rather bland to me even with all the other stuff inside. Quorn's OK with a sauce or in a stir fry, but other than that...well you get the idea [don't get me started on all my "annoying"eating habits... ]. I think these computers did start out in major cities like London, and it seems nowadays they've expanded to less populated towns like where I live. Either way they were rubbish altogether.
