Bravissima! They are so beautiful! I most like the first one too, you captured perfectly the expression of a feeling which is not simple to give for someone with a beack (and not a face with a mouth)! The other two a are great too, expecially the third one for the details, the colors and the shadows! Congrats!

Wow, Stace they are truly wonderful pieces of art! ;D I love your first one as well, his expression is so realistic. Love the vibrancy of the colours and tones of the other two. A huge congratulations and 5 stars from me lol. Serenity: Did you finally get your special avatar? I love it, really cool.

Yes, all the little pinprick-dot colouring is very reminisent of comic book colouring techniques (like pop art) and the other elements of these pieces are top-notch as ever.
Serenity - ah so the avatar worked!

I absolutely LOVE screentone effects you can get in ShiPainter/PaintBBS etc. I've seen others use them really well and well, it jut inspires me to do the same. x)

Have to keep an eye out for those programs. I'm recently enjoying layers in PhotoShop.

It's not something you download, it's a Java based thing that you can find on sites that have it installed on their servers. Here's a sample you can try on [just screencap when you're done and plonk it in paint].
