- The former generation (us) constantly comparing it to the classic gems... I cannot help but felt like you said, my Shy. When I, finally, was able to watch the movie, well I was glad to see traditional animation again, it was so nostalgic-awesome! However, though I wasn't expecting another Lion King (a movie that I have some plot issues with, BTW), I can't compare The Princess and the Frog with Disney's classics, not only 90's but all of those awesome movies Disney used to made, back in the day... ... Well, times change

I had recently bought the DVD, and I found myself enjoying the movie from the beginning to the end.
The morals of the story was evident, but didn't feel forced at all. While there's nothing wrong about working hard like Tiana, she didn't have any time to herself to just enjoy life as she wanted to have her own restaurant. I also liked the message that while one can wish for something, you must do the hard work to make it come true.
I really liked all the characters. Tiana and Naveen were great together and they rubbed off of each other.
Great job, Disney.
