I agree with you Raine, Igor is much like a father, an evil one but a father figure for Count Duckula, specially for the current one.

BC: Aww, but your fan-fic's still well-done and interesting. Believe me, I've read awful fan-fics out there ~_~
Lourdes and Juno: I also found it interesting how Igor and Goosewing interact in certain episodes (Artic Circles, Dr. Goosewing and Mr. Duck, etc.)
Raine: Yippee, another Igor x Nanny supporter ^_^
I must admit, I always imagined Igor as the father, Nanny the mother and Duckula the son in their relationships.

I must admit, I always imagined Igor as the father, Nanny the mother and Duckula the son in their relationships. Someone else noticed this! I mentioned it a few times but no-one else seemed to spot it.

I always noticed that, too! And he always acts like a stubborn, rebellous teen whose 'parents' are looking out for his best interests- running away, talking back and arguing, and rubbing his own conflicting views in their faces (esp. when he thinks he's right about something, or when he thinks he's finally showed them a thing or two!) And Nanny and Igor always argue about the best way to 'raise' him, lol!
As far as couples go, VERY hard to say, because there are hardly any females at all in the CH classics that we so love. (Have to admit, this has always slightly bugged and confused me.) BUT, as far as slashy pairings go, I am totally in love with the idea of Gaston+Peirre!

Oh man, how did I forget Gaston and Pierre?! I knew I was missing someone 83 Also on the Igor/Duckula note - I ttly love the parental relationship thing too, but more that that.... Ha, well, I'm sure you've all seen 'No Sax Please, We're Egyptian' I very nearly swooned when Duckula started kissing Igor all over his beak, and the shy look Igor gave before saying 'But what will the neighbors think?' LOVE IT!

LOL, Juno, don't forget his "Well, hellooo, Milord!" reply when he thought Duckula had said the same to him, when he was really adressing the 'beautiful womans'. Also, Duckula replied "No, Igor, I meant you before!" LOL, whut?

I think that's simply because it's funny more than anything else. Nothing sexual/romantic at all. It's just funny, pure and simple. If it was two female characters doing the same, no-one would bat an eyelid.

Despite the fact Igor doesn't act lovey-dovey towards Nanny, I've noticed how...protective he is of her.
Like in Dear Diary, after Duckula chuckled about the idea of Nanny publishing her diary, Igor angrilly demanded what was so funny about that idea.
In Mystery Cruise, I found it interesting that Igor came along with Duckula to "protect Nanny from the hooligan sailors". I mean, why didn't Igor make an excuse to get out of the situation? And is it just me, or did Igor's angry expression became worse when the captain flirted with Nanny?

Gaston: Oh, I would totally bat an eyelash if it were two women doing it Look on the fun side of life! All's fair in love, war, and fandom x3 Ha, I totally noticed those Igor/Nanny things too, particularly in the Diary episode. I love it, it's so cute <3

I'm also digging some Duckula/Goosewing. Not even so much in a blatantly romantic way. They're just so much fun together.
I also like Duckula/Don Diego, Duckula/Igor ( Also something you can't be too blatant with considering the pairing could lean dangerously close to OOC if not handled properly.), Gaston/Pierre, Duckula/(and oddly enough) Dr. Matrix.
I know, they're all slash. There honestly aren't many Duckula females. None of which I am particularly interested in anyway. I love Lucrezia and I can say her relationship with Vlad is fun in a typical married couple way but I couldn't really see them 'romantically' D:

I agree, Baphmet. Lucrezia <3 <3 <3 I love her especially in the sense of 'Dear Auntie Lucrezia!' I swear, she and Duckula need to hang out more

I have to confess that the simple idea of Igor/Goosewing scares me, a lot... That would be most like what happened in 'Joys of Internet' by our friend Steffie, and anything like that cannot be post at this forum. Yes, that really happened in the fan-fic Igor read. XD I have to admit, the only CH pairing that scares me would have to be Duckula x Nanny. They act way too much like mother and son for the relationship to be otherwise...

At the risk of sounding like a killjoy - this thread scares me a little!

lol, yeah, I'm a bit freaked out over here XD I blame Steffie for starting this topic! ;D To add to the discussion, Nanny is more of a mother figure to Duckula. But Nanny x Goosewing could be... erm... *tries to think of a good word*... cute? And I also thought Nanny x Igor would be bizarrely cute.
