#10 is now here, and some good news; I won the comic I was bidding for, and it's a Celebrity #19 by the looks of it. I'm surprised no-one else bidded on it since these comics are like gold dust when it comes to both Duckula fans and general comic collectors. == Celebrity Issue #10 == www.megaupload.com/?d=OQIOM3RZ

I should to scan more of those Look-Ins for you guys sometime. Also, I don't know which issues any of you are missing but I actually have all the Marvel issues. When I was little I was really sad & actually had a subscription to them. Duckula was the only comic I ever had a subscription for actually. <3 Anyway, the issues I have are my originals & although they're extremely well read (falling apart) I'd be happy to scan them & fill in the gaps for you guys. Same goes for the Celebrity Issues. Whichever ones you don't have Stacey feel free to let me know & I'll see what I can do. Between the two of us maybe we can collaborate & finally make them available. :3

Oooh, lucky! I wish I could find the time to scan the rest of what I have D: It's not much, but it beats nothing, ha ha
But really, that would be flipping amazing if you could complete the collection. I try to keep my comics nice and on my bookshelf at all times.. but I can't help but read them all the time xD

Continuing our current discussion. You got rid of them? SHAME!!! I only have #2 and 4. I've heard- and I sort of know, although I've never read any of the British ones- that the ones published by Marvel are quite inferior. The artwork certainly is lacking at times, especially in shading and tone- and while the characters and stories are 'there' for the most part, it just lacks that certain something... that certain charm. Yeah, I thought the toning in the Marvel comics were just terrible, though it's common on such small comic books like that. The British and German ones have much better printing quality since they have better ink, paper and stuff. Doesn't make some of the art much better though, that's down to the mad drawing [or tracing if you look at the SOR ones] skills of some of the artists. Alan Case and Vincent James were the only two good artists there.

Vincent and (I'm pretty sure) Alan worked on the TV series too, so that may explain it

Much appreciated. I've looked for Duckula comics of any sort (UK/US whatever) for many years now to pretty much no avail; the 1990 Annual is the closest I've come. I thought the comics in the annual were surprisingly good; so far the US ones aren't great but it's still nice to read them, and the artwork is pretty decent. Again, thanks.

Bump because I think it's about time I posted these revelations I found regarding the Celeb comics.
For a start it looks like the comic series ended at #32, in April 1990. Not sure why this is so, but I do know that by then the comic started being published every month rather than every week, this apparently started this way by #30. At that point they even reused LETTERS - you know the ones kids sent in. For some reason Celebrity changed their name to Clearmark at that point as well. =/
It seems to me also that those crappy SOR comics took the place of Celebs, and that some Celeb stories were reprinted in those. Speaking of SOR anyway, they don't seem to have been even dated, just 1990. So I have no idea on how often they were published, who did the artwork, what issue it ended at, nothing. As much as I'm not that fond of them I should probably try to find out more about them.
I started work on a comics guide for the website so the info I just posted here will be on there and bettered.

Thank you very much for this information! I'm very grateful with the comic guide you are doing because, being for another Country, Count Duckula's comics were unknown for me until recent times. In my city, there were a collection of short, very, very short, stories and Duckula has one with stickers! I used to treasure it, but I finally used the stickers in the cover in my high school math book (in order to cheer me up, because I never liked maths) and after the course end, I lost the stickers.
