Mine is granitoons.deviantart.com/ It's a good site that DeviantArt site, but there's some pretty disturbing and/or bad stuff there, so be careful what you search for! (that's the site as a whole, not my bit)

shychick.deviantart.com/I just write fanfiction. I used to write a lot of silly, goofy Sonic the Hedgehog fiction (based on the old Saturday-morning cartoon, commonly known as SatAM), but lately I've been writing a lot of Duckula stuff. I wrote a Victor and Hugo fic a few days ago, called "My Brother." 'Tis a sad one- but just an interesting one-shot idea I had.

was that the one where they were underground musicians? That was Sonic Underground ;P The one Shy's talking about is the one where they hideout in a forest and do battle in a futuristic city, starring Sally Acorn and Bunny Rabbot. It's a good site that DeviantArt site, but there's some pretty disturbing and/or bad stuff there, so be careful what you search for! (that's the site as a whole, not my bit) Oh yeah, I totally see what you mean there Gaston, there's just some things on DeviantART that are absolutely dreadful. Others tend to use the site as Photobucket or even 4chan sometimes, but then, there are other sites that are far far worse *coughfanartcentral*. It still makes me angry that I have to trudge through so much reportable junk to look for decent fanarts and stuff.

You type in searchwords like 'cartoon' (like I do) and if you're lucky you'll get terrible drawings of Manga-esque girls with inflatable boobs, 4-foot legs and (most puzzlingly) cat's ears and a fox's tail coupled with a 200-word essay about how much effort went into this artwork. If you're unlucky you'll get what it basically pornography.

The worst bit I hate about Deviantart is the fact that most of the Popular pics are naked people and scantily clad manga girls with tits bigger then their heads, one day I just want to do an experiment to see how many hits i get. so far the most hits one of my pics has got is liek 1200 cos it was a picture of buddy christ from dogma (a kool jesus ) so I imagine a naked jesus with boobs would be a very popular pic

'Inflation art' is a very popular and unsettling thing too. And what is it about Sonic the Hedgehog? He's everywhere! And there is a LOT of anime-stylr stuff. I personally can't stand that stuff, but that's just my opinion. However there's a LOT of it.

That could be very annoying indeed, but there are beautiful art too there, even from anime. The problem I had observed is that there are some great pieces with no comments, but other pieces had lots of edit: "kawaii" (sorry that is what I mean to write), "cute" and other stuff like that!

What does kaway mean? I think a great picture speaks for itself, but possitive comments are nice.

I think Lourdes means "kawaii", which is supposed to mean "cute" in Japanese. I can't stand one worded comments on DA myself, ever though some of those I get are from people who are non-English, hell, I even got one in full Spanish once on one of my Rayman pics ["me agrada como dibujaste a rayman!^^"]. Still, it's very annoying and non-constructive Shoving the negative points aside, DA is one of my most frequented sites, as there are some artists whose is absolutely beautiful and I admire, and I love seeing great fanart of cartoons and games not many people have heard of, as well as seeing some really good pictures and tutorials, anime styles a bit included.

I think the ultimate accolade is when people are familiar with your characters and know their names, behaviours etc. Then you know you've really arrived. I once drew a picture of a woman and posted it there and someone commented that it was 'disturbing' and 'kinky' that I was pleased with the design! Totally irellevant as it was just a random sketch of funny lady having a glass of wine, and certainly nothing like as 'dodgy' as some of the other stuff on there. What one was that Gaston?
Oh man, I've had the times. Way back on my first account in 2002 I used to post a whole lot of Rayman and James Pond fanart, and I used to have stuff saying "if you're doing comics, make your own characters", and "if I had a wallpaper like that I'd kill myself". Oh those were the days when I used to bawl my eyes out over them.
